Still sore!

Five days after my 30 mile bike, my muscles still ache! I've been sort of using it as an excuse not to do anything - but I'm going to swim this morning and see if that loosens them up. Any suggestions about when and whether to start moving again after a killer workout?

The second day - otherwise you lose your momentum. Not the same thing as the killer workout though - good thing you're a multisport athlete now, eh? Enjoy your swim :)

Ditto...also, have you tried Endurox? It's an after-activity drink mix by the peeps that brought you Accelerade. It keeps the sore at bay.

I'm aching just after a couple of days of messing about in the sea! hate to think what I'd be like after a gruelling bike ride. No expert but I guess it's got to be best to gently keep your muscles working.

staying still definately doesn't help, i've learned that the hard way. when i'm really hurting, I try something simple, like a long walk. but the key seems to be to keep moving

also, not to sound like a commercial, but I've recently tried accelerade and I'm feeling WAY better the day after a hard workout now.
